A Phenakistoscope is a spinning disk attatched vertically to a handle, the user would spin the disk then look through moving slits reflecting through a mirror. The "Spindel Viewer". -
Zoetrope
"Wheel of the Devil". Daedalum, a cylinder with slits cut vertically in the sides. As it is being spun, the user would look thorugh at the images. -
Praxinoscope
it was an improved zoescope. -

He was a very talented photographer that perfected the art of still photography. He installed 24 hour shutter cameras that took snapshots whenever motion was sensed. -
