    Christopher Columbus was a spanish explorer who sailed over the Atlantic ocean to get to Asia. After sailing across the Atlantic, he came across a small island In the Carribean sea thinking it was Asia. Spain Launched more voyages after Columbus to scope out this new land. The Spanish explorers colinized and increased their land establishing Americas first rural society and economy.

    The president of the United States issued this approclimation. it stated that, On the !st of January 1863, all the slaves within any state will be set free. The slaves were freed but not socially freed. Discrimination and intimidation is still in affect.
