Spanish Exploration of the Americas
Christopher Columbus was a spanish explorer who sailed over the Atlantic ocean to get to Asia. After sailing across the Atlantic, he came across a small island In the Carribean sea thinking it was Asia. Spain Launched more voyages after Columbus to scope out this new land. The Spanish explorers colinized and increased their land establishing Americas first rural society and economy. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was put in place by the british stating that you had to place stamps on certian items, the colonists boycotted. Colonists got tired of it and rebelled, so the U.S faught and gained independance from Great Britian. -

A peace treaty was signed in Paris that Forbid Any of Great Britians troops from the boundries of the united states including the removal of british troops already in America. -
U.S Constitution
The constitution was created by delagets from 12 states who met in Philadelphia. The constitution was made to garantee the peoples' rights. The constitution created the Bill of Rights that are still in effect today. -
Seneca Falls Convention
Female reformers met in New York to create and approved a statement that demanded equal rights for women. It created womens rights as a worker and an individual. -
The Emancipation Proclamation
The president of the United States issued this approclimation. it stated that, On the !st of January 1863, all the slaves within any state will be set free. The slaves were freed but not socially freed. Discrimination and intimidation is still in affect. -
Chinese Exclusion Act
It prohibated all immigration of chinese laborers. Signed by Presedent Cheaster A. Arthur, required a few nonlaborers to get special permission to enter the country. It potentially segregated the chinese and the americans. They removed the law in 1943 allowing immigration to be leagle. America gained a large number of the chinese population. -
The Dawes Act
Forced assimilation of the Native Americans into white culture. Cheap land was given to each family for farming. It created reservations that Native Americans and their families live on. -
