War in Iraq
The War in Iraq was a big crisis because this was when President Bush sent the troops over to fight. No one wanted them to fight because this was the worst war and most of all the soldiers were going to get hurt and killed. The War in Iraq had an impact on the world now because ever since the soldiers came home, everyone was so happy and now they don't want to go back. -
Saddam Hussein captured
When Saddam Hussein was executed, it was the best thing ever. All the Americans were so thrilled. Saddam Hussein was the worst leader Iraq had. President Bush told the Iraqis that they would not have to fear the ruler of Saddam Hussein ever again. When he was catpured, it was a new beggining for the Iraqis and the Iraq goverment. -
President Obama taking Office
This was when the first African American became President. No one til this day thought an African American would ever be president. But they were all wrong. Obama wanted to end wars and bring the troops home and he kept his word for that. He ended the war in Iraq and all the troops came home. He also wanted to improve pollution, and lower energy costs. Obama also wanted to create new jobs for Americans. He has done a lot for the Country that he wanted to accomplish so far and so he did. -
Swine Flu
The Swine Flu (known as North American Influenza H1N1) hit America hard in 2009. The affects it had on us was making us go get the shots so we couldn't get sick. A lot of people tried to avoid the flu by not coming in contact with the pigs that were infected and also avoiding contact with homans that were infected. The Swine Flu did not have any medications to cure people, but had a cure for the pigs. -

Death of Osama Bin Laden
When the U.S forces came in and killed the leader of al Qaeda, all everyone can think about was 9\11 all over again. Obama told everyone in his speech that "Justice has been done". With the leader of al Qaeda dead, this has changed the minds of all the believers of Bin Laden. When he hijacked the planes and caused 9\11 to happen was the worst idea he had ever thought of in his life. -
Obama passing Same-sex marriage
When Obama passed the law that same sex marriage is legal in New Jersey, that changed views a lot. Obama wasn't going to pass the law because he didn't think it was the right thing to do. He thinks that same sex marriage is not right, but then he came to a decision that he believes in what's right. In my eyes, same sex marriage doesn't bother me because I have a few gay cousins and it doesnt bother me. Gay democratics started making big campaign donations. So now same sex marriage is legal in NJ -
