    Summer 1914: Germany yachting, France visiting Russia, Britain building sandcastles, Russia playing tennis and swimming in the fjords.
    Triple Entente (allied powers) vs Triple Alliance (central powers)
    Assassination: June 28th 1914 Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria visits the Balkans. Black Hand Gang attempt (and success) an assassination. Their intention was to kill heir to the throne.
