Dates back to 3,500 BC in Mesopotamia. It facilitated transport and mobility in a global and daily way, but at the same time it produced important developments in the field of industrialization. -
The calculator
Blaise Pascal was the inventor of the first machine to perform arithmetic calculations, but the Spaniard Leonardo Torres Quevedo patented the first analogical calculator in 1914, allowing to perform highly complex mathematical operations in a very short time. -
Steam engine
It appeared in 1698 and was essential for the development of the Industrial Revolution in factories for the movement of machines, allowing a much faster production. -
The telegraph
Until its appearance, information moved as slowly or quickly as the person transmitting it did by means of a journey, whether long or short. With its irruption, everything became much faster for the information to move. -
The telephone
The possibility of communicating at a distance changed personal, social, commercial and all other human relationships. -
Antibiotics
They were discovered in 1877 by Louis Pasteur and Robert Koch. In 1928 Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin, a chemical compound with antibiotic properties. Thanks to its existence, countless lives have been saved, in fact, with its appearance, diseases that until then were considered mortal stopped being so.
