  • End Of War

    Treaty signed the end of the French and Indian war.
    France gave up and gave their territories in North America, Britain won French Canada, India, and some of the French islands in the Caribbean.

    Pontiac's Rebellion

    Native Americans were not happy because the British had a new rule led by Pontiac. Lasted for 3 years. In 1766 Pontiac signed Treaty.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    The British Parliament said that no one can settle in the west of the Appalachian Mountains. It was mainly to stop the Indians for being angry with the people that were in their land.
  • Sugar Act

    Tax on importing sugar, wine and coffee. They already had the Molasses Tax that started in 1733, but even though the Sugar tax was half the Molasses tax, colonists refused to pay it.
  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was the first direct tax. The Stamp tax was always in the legal documents, newspapers, pamphlets, playing cards, dice, and printed materials. The ones that the tax impacted were rich and had an education. The British had this because they wanted to raise revenue. But the colonists didn't liked it, so the colonists burned the tax collectors by tarring and feathering them.
  • Quartering Act

    Colonists had to supply British troops with living quarters, bedding, cider, food, beer and rum. But Colonists refused to comply.
  • Virginia Resolves

    This is what Virginia answered to the British Parliament's Stamp act of 1765. This was created because of the Stamp Act. The Virginia General Assembly created it thanks to Patrick Henry. It was one of the first acts of revolution to a British law.
  • Stamp Act Congress

    The stamp act congress was the letter that the congress sent to government petitioning tax. This act was a major step in uniting the colonies against the British. Nine colonies agreed with the fact that there shouldn't be taxation without representation. The colonies managed to repeal the stamp act, in March 1766, but the relationship between the Colonies and England was already done.

    This was when the Parliament repealed the Stamp act to end crisis and because activists mobs against the British Parliament insisted a lot. It was repealed the 18th of March of 1766 under Marquis of Rockingham. "All laws made by Britain" DECLARATORY ACT.
