    The Declaration of Independence was a document written by Thomas Jefferson that declared all American independence from Britain.The Second Continental Congress adopted the document.It provided the reasons for why Americans wanted to separate from Britain while providing the principles of government upon United States being built.John Locke's philosophy was the main idea of the Declaration of Independence.

    A deal made between the U.S and the French in which the president at the time,Thomas Jefferson, bought Louisiana which had two impacts for the U.S and were doubling the U.S size and having the Mississippi river become a part of the U.S.The French got the budget for wars out of the deal since their budget was low. This deal was controversial since the U.S president was stated in the Declaration of Independence not to have the right to buy property without the Senate's consent.

    A journey in which Lewis and Clark were being hired to go West in order to make new discoveries and is where they discovered many plants and animals that were unknown at the time in the West. Nobody really knew anything about the West at the time so that is why Lewis and Clark were hired in the first place. Lewis and Clark were also accompanied by Native Americans during the journey.

    The Republic of Mexico had won independence from Spain and has control for the northern reaches. The northern reaches then turned into Texas. Texas later broke from Mexico and let U.S settlers in which resulted in the Texas Revolution happening because the Mexico government had been involved in political/cultural crashes with the American settlers that were in Texas which resulted in both places invading each other for control. When heading West, they were caught up in a snowstorm and this resulted in them having no supplies except for water. The party was then rumored to have turned to cannibalism because there was no supplies and it had the party eating other members of the party that were already dead

Rumor spread around about the man finding gold and turned into a hunt with people all over the world going their to mine for gold. This started in the first half of the 19th century in the west and resulted in millions of dollars worth of gold found.

    Being known as the biggest battle of the Civil War, the Battle of Gettysburg was after the Union's success on another battlefield. That made General Lee and his troops invade the North in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and the two sides clash into battle for three days and the Union won in result.

His Inaugural address states of the dangers and the opportunities facing Americans as Kennedy also pursued a set of things called the new frontier.

On August 28, 1963, African American leaders held a March on Washington to show support for the civil rights bill.There was a diverse crowd of more than 200,000 people which Martin Luther King Jr. stood before where he had the "I Have a Dream" speech where King expressed the hope he had in a future in which all Americans had equal rights.

    In 1964, the Vietnam war started where Americans try to get South Vietnam back from Communist and while doing that, interfered with North Vietnam which led U.S to go to war with North and South Vietnam. The Vietnam war finally ended on January 27th, 1973. The U.S signed a cease-fire known as the Paris Peace Accords with the representatives of North and South Vietnam along with Vietcong ones. The U.S agreed for withdrawing all of its troops while North Vietnam released all U.S prisoners of war.

    The World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked by terrorists on September 11th. The two tallest buildings in the nation had crumbled to the ground which resulted in 2,500 lives killed.There was another airplane flown into the Pentagon which was the headquarters of the department of Defense.This attack was by an Islamic terrorist group called al Qaeda which was led by a man named Osama bin Laden who was later killed in 2011 by U.S troops in a raid in Pakistan.
