The attack on Fort Sumter happened before sunrise. It woke everyone up in the city and the soldiers at the harbor. They said that the soldiers shot up from their beds when they heard the gunshots. -
Battle of the Little Bighorn
The Battle of the Little Big Horn was when Sioux forces lead by Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull surrounded and overtook Custer and his soldiers. Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull won that battle. -
Brown versus the Board of Education
May 17, 1954 was when the judge made the ruling that segregation in schools is illegal. That was a great day in history because now they can go to any school they want to no matter what color their skin is. -

My Dad is my hero I want to be the kind of person he is when I grow up. My Dad is always nice to people and he is always working, he is a carpenter so he helps people when he works. -

This was the day that Martin Luther King Jr gave his "I have a Dream speech". There was a very large group of people there when he gave the speech. -
Elvis Presley's death
Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977. He was a rock legend. -
9/11
On September 11, 2001 there was a terrorist attack and the twin towers got knocked down because a plane crashed into both buildings. The planes went through the middle of the twin towers. -

Our trip out West
We went on a two week trip out West. We went to Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park. We went through Montana , Illinois, Wyoming, and a couple other states. We had a great time. We visited some relatives in Spokane, Washington too. In Kansas we stayed at my dad's cousin's house for two nights. -
Our family trip to Creation Museum
We went to Creation Museum over the summer. We also got to see the Ark Encounter. We went zip lining while we were there too.
