Eli Whitney and the Cotton Gin

Louisiana Purchase
The Louisiana Purchase is when the French bought the Lousiana Territory and sold it to the United States. The Louisiana Territory is the boundaries from the Mississippi River to the Rocky Mountains. The Texas War for Independence

Many people in the South wanted to live and plant crops in Indian territory but, it would take a while to get there. The journey was called the Trail of Tears because of how hard it was to get to the destination. This journey was so hard, it was even deadly.

The Donner Party was a group of people who were trying to travel west. Then the winter came and they had to camp out till winter ended. They ended up not having enough food, so they started eating the people who died. Mexico really wanted to claim Texas as its own but, the United States wanted it too. So, they tried to set up boundaries but, that still didn't work. California Gold Rush
It all started when James Marshall spotted something shiny. When he went to pick it up, he discovered the thing was gold. Ever since that day, people started piling into California to claim their gold. That is why they called it the "Claifornia Gold Rush".(McDougal Litiel 439-440) -

General Beauregard was given orders to attack Fort Sumter so his troop did. They did so much damage, the Fort Sumter surrendered and were evacuated.

Brown v. The Board of Education
Black children were not allowed to go to any public schools with white people in them and Brown had a problem with that. She went to the board of education and won in the court trial.
