New Transdisciplinary Course
In order to follow the trends in education, viewing education as an integration between subjects the IB may offer an extra course outside of the groupings, where students are able to approach learning through all subject areas. This might be a problem based course that is designed to integrate and apply learning through all of the categories and subjects by having students develop a solution to a problem. -
Elimination of Groups
IB completely eliminates subject groupings and develops a curriculum based on topics in which course aims are methodically integrated to incorporate rigorous learning throughout the former subject groupings. Students select topics based on areas of interest, and courses are carefully designed to intergrade language and literature, arts, math, science and social studies.
