    In the Brown V. Board of Education case, it was ruled unconstitutional and unequal for white and blacks to attend separate schools. This had overturned the effects of Plessy V. Ferguson, which allowed separate but "equal" schooling.

    This act gave federal fund to all schools. This act also prohibited national curriculum, which left the curriculum standards to each state individually.
