Vasco de Gama arrives in southern Asia in 1498 and begins European involvement with India. Shortly after he arrives, many missionaries from other countries join him. -

It is said the Renaissance began around 1600. The main focus of the Renaissance was modernistic interpretations of reform and sacred scriptures. -
The British East India Company
The British East India Company wins the trading rights of the Mughal Empire in 1617. The Mughal Empire goes downhill but The British East India Company has a positive effect in India. -

The Vedanta Society was formed by Vivekananda in 1894. It promotes Hinduism as the main religion in the west and argues for India's freedom. -
Partition of India
Under British rule, India and Pakistan were one nation and it caused conflict between Muslims and Hindus. In 1947 through the Partition of India became Hindu and Pakistan became Muslim. It created two separate states based on religion.
