Hitler claimed the vote for Austrian Independence was rigged so he threatened Austria. When Austria was denied help they surrendered to the Austrian Nazis. -
Czechoslovakia and the Munich Agreement
After Hitler claimed Germans in Czechoslovakia were being persecuted, combined forces of Great Britain, Italy and France agreed that Hitler would take part of Czechoslovakia as long as he wouldn't invade the rest.
