The Theory of Relativity And A Priori Knowledge
Hans published his book 'The Theory of Relativity And A Priori Knowledge', which later was accepted as his habilitation in physics. Einstein’s lectures were a huge influence on his book and provided a shock to Han's viewpoint. His book is an attempt to identify neo-Kantian doctrines that must be abandoned and to address those that need to be saved. In the 'Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, most of the book "addresses general epistemological issues... rather than issues about physics." -
Period: to
1920-1956
As the 'Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy' states, Reichenbach "was a leading philosopher of science, a founder of the Berlin circle, and a proponent of logical positivism" He wrote three books based on the foundation of physics and made lasting contributions to the study of empiricism based on a theory of probability. -
Axiomatization of the Theory of Relativity
Published in 1924, it's about general theories of relativity from experimentally accessible casual relationships. This book tries to integrate the latest findings in the physics of relativity of its day into the philosophic traditions of Europe. -
The Philosophy Of Space And Time
Published in 1928, this book is an engaging unification of a multitude of ideas Reichenbach had previously published. The reality of space and time is an undeniable result of the epistemological analysis of the theory of relativity. Space and time are relational concepts; we can study their properties because of the existence of physical objects, such as clocks, that realize relationships between space-time entities. -
Philosophical Foundations Of Quantum Mechanics
This volume combines both disciplines for a philosophical interpretation of quantum physics and its quantum mechanical results in the visible everyday world. According to the 'Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy, Reichenbach's book is "a formal system that acknowledges three truth values: true, false and indeterminate." -
