The Golden Age of Athens was a fifty year period of peace between the Persian and Peoponnesioan War. It was during this time that Pericles worked towards a more democratic city-state and rebuilt Athens. Peloponnesian War
As Athens rose in power Sparta began to see them as more and more of a threat that needed to be taken out, this how the Peloponnesian War began. Athens was the Delian Leauge, while Sprta formed a new group called the Peloponnesian Leauge.
