    the government did not want to do anything to fix it, because they figured it would fix by itself.
    This affected families because if there are people are invested in the stock and it crashes you don’t get your money. Also a lot of people barrowed money from the bank to put it in the stock expecting the stock to would go up so they could sell it but if it doesn’t go up you need to payback the bank.

  • 1932-1940 the economy grew by 58%

  • Unemployment was at 25%

  • 1933 - 1934 4,004 small banks were closed

    the dust bowl is a dust storm that caused a big affect on farmers because it destroyed all farms and criops. that also means that they had to barrow mony loans from the bank to replant crops trying to make money to pay off the loan
  • By 1936 The U.S made a full recovery.

  • 1940-1945 there was five years of war time for the U.S

  • the unempolyment rate dropoped from 25% to 13.9%

  • The Economy then grew another 56% from 1940-1945
