    Writing

    The history of Graphic begins always back to the invention of writing. Over time with writing being invented the alphabet was created.
  • First Advertisement Printed

    Now with the printing press in Europe, they learned how to recreate text, art and design on a bigger scale. They learned to spread information across a large platform, and to advertise for cheap. They learned how visuals affect people's behavior when shopping or doing activities. The printing press gave way to the coranto which is like a newspaper or broadsheet carrying information. Then in the early 1600's, first advertisement was printed on the corantos.
  • Futurism Style

    Influenced by cubism and technology, it dropped all the traditional features and concentrated on clean, sharp, straight lines. It was popular through the 1930's.
  • Graphic Design

    William Addison Dwiggins coined the term "graphic design" in 1922 to describe his process of designing books as combination of typesetting, illustration and design. Book design changed from being a simple craft to an interpretive.
  • Cathode-ray Tube

    Cathode-ray Tube
    The cathode-ray tube amusement device is the earliest known interactive electronic game. The device simulates artillery shell arcing toward target on a cathode ray tube screen, which controlled by the player by adjusting knobs to change the trajectory of a CRT beam spot on the display in order to reach plastic targets overlaid on the screen.Thomas T. Goldsmith, Jr. and Estle Ray Mann constructed the game from analog electronics and filed for a patent in 1947, which was issued the following year.

    The Festival of Britain was designed as a nation wide display of the British arts, technology and culture. As a part of the festivities, computer company Ferranti provided a display for the Festival's activities in South Kensington. John Bennett, an Australian employee living in Britain, suggested building a machine to play NIM, a simple game where players take turns removing matches from piles in an attempt to be the last person removed from the game.

    Tennis for Two (also known as Computer Tennis) is a sports video game, which simulates a game of tennis, and was one of the first games developed in the early history of video games. Physicist William Higinbotham designed the game for display at the Brookhaven National Laboratory's. The game's visuals show a representation of a tennis court viewed from the side, and players adjust the angle of their shots with a knob on their controller and try to hit the ball over the net by pressing a button.

    The creation of Apple allowed common people the power of a computer. Apple was seen as a way people could use computers for fun and be able to create and just use their imagination.
  • Smartphone

    Smartphone
    The first smartphone was invented in 1992 15 years before the release of Apple's first smartphone. This phone allowed people to send emails right from their hand phones kept developing and now we have the power of a computer now in our hands.
