The Battle of Berlin

1945

The Red Army had temporarily halted on line 60 km (37 mi) east of Berlin. When the Soviet offensive resumed on April 16, two Soviets fronts attack Berlin from east to south while a third overran German forces positioned north of Berlin. Before the battle was over, Hitler and several followers killed themselves.
