Magna Carte
The king of this time stood in front of 40 barons, concenting to their demands to prevent war. However, ten weeks later the Pope rejected the bill and they were plunged into war. -
Petition of Rights
It's a constitutional document to stop the king from going over his bounds, and can't be infringed upon. -
English Bill of Rights
This, like the Magna Carte and the Petition of Rights was a precursor to the decleration of independance. -
Albany Plan of Union
The Albany Plan of Union is when a proposal was made to unify the 13 states under a government. -
Boston Massacre
Many civilians were killed this day as a result of tensions between colonists and british troops. This is what started a big part of the revolutionary war. -

The Boston Tea Party was a protest where the colonists boarded cargo ships and dumped massive amounts of english tea into the ocean. -

This is when the Articles of Confederation were adopted, however not all 13 states adopted them at this time. -

This is the name of several protests in between 1786 and 1787 from the colonists. -
Virginia Plan
The virginia plan was a proposal by virginia delegates for a bicameral legislative branch. -
Philadelphia Convention
55 delegates from 12 of the states got together to reform the Articles into a stronger document. -
New Jersey Plan
This was a convention set up for the structure of the United States.
