Civil War erupts in the Empire of Ruinsburg
For years, tension between the emperor and his high rulers and the common people had been brewing. The people fought against having to give half of their harvest to these rich officials annually. The more they would resist, the more they were oppressed. To escape, they tried to leave the empire, but they were not allowed. The people then organized a secret militia to fight against the emperor and his high rulers. After months of preparing and planning, they began the violent revolt. -
Civil War and the Empire of Ruinsburg end
After four years, this war finally came to an end. Due to careful planning and to the fact that they were outnumbered, the emperor and his high rulers were defeated by the common people. However, the land was completely destroyed. There was no way the people could have a better future there. They would have to find a new place to settle. -
Migration to the Newlands begins
The common people, Rokers, as they called themselves, prepared for months for a journey to a newly discovered land. In search for a fresh start and a promising future, the Rokers began to travel to their destination. -
Settlement in the Newlands
After traveling for about a month and a half, the Rokers finally settled in part of Newlands that nobody had claimed. Each family decided to lead their own lives, always respecting their companions around them, but not trying to exert any type of authority. Everyone agreed to they would be better off without an organized leadership, mainly because they feared the abuse of power they had previously experienced. -
Trouble for Rokers begins in Newlands
Natural threats like wild animals and storms became an increased danger for Rokers. Also, the invasion of land from new immigrants was a potential issue. They all realized working together for protection was vital to survive and that a government was needed to that. -

Weldome Assemblies
Rokers gather to discuss and debate the idea of the formation of a government. The main question was how to form a central government that won't get too powerful and that will respect individual freedoms. After months of gathering, a constitution is drafted. -
Constitution is approved and accpeted
The constitution established the land of Rokers as a nation: United Newlands. It founded the central government of this new country as a constitutional presidential system, determining what its functions and limits are. After months, citizens finally accpeted and gave consent to it, making it officially valid. -

Governmental officials are elected
Campaigns for various governmental positions began. After hearing speeches, reading newspaper articles, getting information from other forms of media, the citizens voted first for their representatives and then for all other government roles. After all of the elections, the government was ready to function. -

Constitution is put to the test
As the the government of Newland grew more and more stable, it began to pass different type of legislation. Some people did not like the new laws and refused to follow them. They argued that there was no amendment in the constitution that said citizens had to abide by legislation since this would encroach on their freedoms. This issue and others revealed weaknesses of the constitution. -

Amendments are added to Constitution
To address uprising issues, many governmental officials saw it was necessary to add to the constitution. However, they needed to follow certain procedures to begin this process based on what had already been determined in this document. After conventions and ratifications, amendments were added. For instance, the government was now able to enforce legislation since it was for the protection of the nation and well-being of citizens.
