Globalization timeline

    Silk Road

    Silk Road
I believe that this is the beginning of international trade. Each tribe or territory sharing, trading, bartering, or paying for another cultures' goods is what we do today with international markets all over the world. Without the Nomads moving throughout the routes, it may have taken much longer to discover the Americas!

    The Rise of Rome

    The Rise of Rome
I believe that the Rise of Rome is crucial to the timeline of Globalization. They were the first documented culture with politics. They were some of influence on our governing system today!
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
I think that this was important politically to globalization. We stood as one voice against a tyrannical government. We broke free from a broken system and created something "new". We made our own country and began one of the biggest world powers of history.
  • Industrial Revolution in America

    Industrial Revolution in America
I think that the Industrial Revolution in America greatly effected globalization and the position of America in the International markets. We went from hand making everything to "mass production" for the time. I think it greatly changed how we evolved as a country.
  • WWII

    WWII
World War II changed so much for the world I think. This war completely destroyed most of Europe and involved almost all of the world's super powers. I think that without the world war we would not have the UN or any of the other International Organizations. I think this changed the world politically.
  • Invention of Internet

    Invention of Internet
I whole heartedly, believe tha the invention of the internet changed globalization. When I was in Second grade we had pen pals in California that we wrote to. Now in the Third grade my daughter Skypes with a classroom in Africa.
