    (Born in January 9th, 1886, USA). He would have seen the Acoustic Guitar from Spain on television or on a concert and decided to make the Electric Double Bass Guitar. It was played on while sitting down because it was too big for people to be able to pick it up and play it.

    In 1930s, there was a change to the music industry; Paul Tutmarc (born in the USA) invented the first Electric Bass guitar (sitting down while played). He was working in a manufacturer for lap steel guitars. People would have talked about Lloyd Loar design and Paul was influenced.

    In 1939, the music industry changed direction, ‘Wolf and Sunny Boy’ created the first electric amplifier. They would have seen or heard about the Electric bass guitar that Paul developed and decided to make something that could be the speakers of the Electric Guitar. They connected the amplifier in their car, through the power of the battery. Their car was a Ford. This was huge to the music industry and it went global and people would have seen the amplifier on the newspaper or on the TV.

    Clarence Leonidas (Leo Fender, born in the USA) change the music industry by creating his own design called the Precision Bass. Electric Bass Guitars were everywhere in the USA at that time and Leo Fender would have been influenced and decided to create a better version.

    For the first time in the music industry an Electric Bass Guitar was able to play notes with precision. It was also the first Electric Bass Guitar that allowed the musician to play it while standing up. Fender saw the recent Electric Bass Guitars were played while sitting down and that influenced him to developed on to change the Electric Bass Guitar.

    In 1959, there was another change to the industry. Danelectro founded by Nathan Daniel, who was born in New York, USA, but his family was from Lithuania. Danelectro created the first five string electric bass then he created the first 6 string bass, tunes E A D G B E. Him being born in America, he was able to see the Electric Guitars that were made before his and he was infleunced to create one of his own.

    Everett Hull, a pianist and bassist, and Stanley Michaels (owners of Ampeg) made a change to the music industry by designing the first fretless Bass Aubi. By reading this, it sounds like they are going backwards.

    In 1978, the music industry changed again but by the sounds of it, it’s going backwards again. The first Fretless 6-String Bass Guitar came in by Carl Thompson and later owned by Les Claypool. At this time in the music industry, pickups were becoming more varied because of the different playing styles like slap and pop, and the number of string and combinations like wood and neck, etc.

    From the points I made, you can see that globalisation had a huge affect on the music industry. Without globalisation there wouldn’t be any Electric Bass Guitars.
