    In that moment, the Empire was in the middle of a Succession War over the throne, that was won by Atahualpa

    Meeting between Pizarro and Atahualpa

    it was in Cajamarca. Pizarro held Atahualpa hostage and executed him the year after. The Inca Empire suffered a big loss and never recovered from it, it became really poor and over the next years it anexxed to the Spanish Empire

The number of granted encomiendas was limited and the ones belonging to the Church were supressed. the "indians" couldnt perform personal labours to the encomendero anymore, and their job was finished once their "boss" died
