  • post blog #1-2

1 HOOK READERS IN aim blog toward to-be teachers
focus on how impactful teachers are in the classroom
use research to fact check our impact even in the little ways of fashion. Students notice our choices even if personal choice isn't obviously our main goal to promote in the class- it's there anyway. 2 What do we have to do with sustainable fashion? What is it anyway? Use research to discuss sustainable fashion and it's impact in the world. community and promotion of it will change world
  • Design Blog and plan out execution

I'll set up blog design using either tumblr.com or square space and make it easy to navigate. My mission will be stated. website name needs to be to the point- sustainableteacher / newteachernewvoice
  • Share blog with classmates

Since I want my classmates to follow my journey in real time, I think it would be a good idea to share my blog with them at the start. This way they can follow along my journey and get informed on sustainable fashion in pieces rather than overwhelmed with the information all at once. I have a group chat with my classmates and can spread my blog with them that way as well as verbally have a conversation about it with them in class.
  • Blog post 3-4

blogs promotes our role in the classroom and how our smallest choices can make great impact. Use library sources as reference here, about being personable. Use The Devil Wears Prada quote for relatability "you think the fashion world has nothing to do with you"- everything was chosen for our consideration. Can reference teacher aimed brands- and whether they're sustainable or not to greater detail that our fashion choices are considered by others
  • Blog post 5-6

launch weekly blog posts. Our mission as teachers is to make the world a better, more informed place- and our choices matter. You wouldn't wear Gucci to science, it's not appropriate- so why is Shein?
list alternatives to Shein that are sustainable and separate by prices
  • Research on sustainable brands

In the next blogs I will be providing brands that are sustainable so I will be doing research on these brands before I post the blog. I will keep my discoveries in an excel spread sheet with data on the brand, how they're sustainable and what their price ranges are. I also will research how to recycle own clothes to explore that option in my blog as well.
  • weekly post 7-8

provide alternatives to shopping for new clothes- buy recycled ones and how to recycle your own wardrobe.
how to use summer clothes in winter and vice versa.
  • weekly post 8-9

this weeks post focuses on how to implement sustainability discussion in the classroom. Can be a mini lesson or discussion during down time with students- I made my clothes today- that sentence can really get students engaged and inspired. End blog here- suggest ways to discuss with impact, bringing it in to the classroom in a productive and simple way. Don't down talk fast fashion, but plant seed for a sustainable future in little ways.
  • Create educational poster for website

Create poster using Canva to promote my blog. Make poster simple, leave viewers curious for what it's all about- focus on big idea- fashion sustainability has a place in the classroom.
  • Contact Education Department

ask education department if I am able to promote my website in the department office / hallway. Inform them on what it is and why I am doing it- why I think it can be beneficial to my classmates.
