In 1899, during the Boer War Gandhi raised an ambulance corps and served for the South Africa government. So, he went against the British Empire, for what he thought was right.

Later in 1906, Gandhi began his peaceful revolution. He said that he would go to jail or even doe before he obeyed an anti-asian law.

During World War 1, he organist another ambulance corps for the British. Afterwards, he headed back to his home in India in 1914.

In 1930, in protest of a salt tax, Gandhi led thousands of Indians on a 200-mile march. So, they went to the sea to collect their own salt. Through this, he was jailed three times.

On January 30, 1948 Gandhi was killed. He was killed by a Hindu who was maddened by Gandhi's effort to reconcile Muslims and Hindus. After that, an epic motion picture about his life won several academy awards.
