A super continent was formed named Gondwana.Glaciation was also coming up creating mass extinctions.60% of marine invertabret genera and 25% of all families went extinct. -
Silurian period 443-416 MYA
First fresh water fish and fish with jaws. Avalonia (a micro continent) was beggining to drift. -
Devonian period 416-358 MYA
Also known as the "Age of Fishes" though other significant changes were also on the move. Gondwana covered most of the southern hemisphere.Sharks and Rays had come in the later part of the devonian period. -
Carboniferous period 358-299 MYA
Coal had come. Trees dominated. -
Permian period 299-251 MYA
Pangea had formed. True bony fish had come to the waters. Insects evolved in the permian. Greatest mass extiction in all of earths history had happend during tjhe end of this time, starting the Triassic period -
Triassic period 251-199 MYA
Climate was naturally dry. Saperation of pangea was begining. Reptiles were coming from the water. Earliest mamals had begun by now. -
Jurassic period 199-145 MYA
Age of dinosours. Marine and land life thrived -
Cretaceous period 65 MYA
The end of the dinosaurs was at the end of thias period. The K-P extinction was to happen in late. Bees and wasps had lived during this period. -
Tertiary period 65-1.8MYA
The tertuary climate slowly cooled. Mollusks had lived. Antartica which was separate drifted to position. -
Quarternary period 1.8-present
Huge mammals ruled at this point in time. First human xspecies had walked earth at this time. Little ice age comes and goes.
