Genghis Khan was said to be born in 1167, but according to the Mongol tradition, he was born in 1162. He was born between modern day Mongolia and Siberia. He wasnt born with the name Genghis Khan, he was born with the name Temujin. -

In 1204, Genghis assigned a Uyghur retainer to create the written language for the Mongols. He based this language on the Uyghur script. The language now is called Altaic. -

Genghis Khan went to war with the Khwarezem empire, which contains present day Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Iran. They murdered some of Genghis Khan's advisors, and the Mongols spreaded their image to spread terror. -
