Changes name to Genghis Khan
Temujin becomes emperor of the Mongolian empire. Also, his named is changed to Genghis Khan. He builds one of the most powerful armies of the time. -

Genghis attacks kingdon of Xi Xia
Genghis invades the kingdom of Xi Xia in China. His army crushes the weaker opponents. Xi Xia becomes a part of Mongolia. -
Oct 23, 1213
Defeats Jin Dynasty and raids city of Zhongdu
Genghis and his army attack the city of Zhondu in 1213, and succeed in overtaking the city in 1215. Genghis suffers an arrow wound but recovers. -

Genghis seeks revenege on Shah Muhammad
After being sent a head of a mongol, Genghis is furious. He attacks the cities of Samarkand and Bukara and destroys everything in his path. -

Death
On the way home from a series of battles his army had won, Genghis died. It is possible that he was buried, but it is more likely that his body was left where it was. The mongols had not developed a "tomb culture," at the time.
