Gandhi Timeline

  • Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in Porbandar, near Bombay.

  • Gandhi got married at the age of 13.

  • At 19, he went abroad to study.

  • Gandhi returns to India.

  • Unable to succeed in Bombay, he went to South Africa in 1893.

  • He founded the Natal Indian Congress to fight for Indian rights.
