  • The first video game

    This game was the very first game to ever release in 1962, a student at an university, the game was called space war.

  • The second successful game

    Nearly a decade later, a new game was released, Pong. This game was a arcade machine that ONLY played pong, and this changed games forever.

  • Now home consoles are released.

    After the success of pong, A company named Atari, started making home consoles, it only played pong at the time, but it brought the game home.

  • More arcade games.

    Even though there were console games now, there were still a big fanbase of arcade, the games Pac-man and Galaga, and many others were released.

  • Atari meltdown

    After the Atari started to come out with the cartridge, where you can change games, Atari released the over hyped game E.T, and this game lead to the meltdown of the company.

  • More games started to release in the arcade.

    In the arcade, games were raining. The new game Donkey Kong was released with the famous plummer Mario. And Tron was released after the successful movie.

  • Nintendo revives itself.

    Nintendo comes out with a home console with interactive controls which changes the game completely. Then they released a portable device named the game boy that was an instant success.

  • Mortal Kombat

    Around the 90's, one of the most violent games was released, Mortal Kombat, being one of the best arcade and home console game, still getting heavy criticism towards the violence of how it was made.

  • PC gets big

    In 1994, a MMO type of game was released for the PC, World Of Warcraft, this game involved a very imagitive world of Orcs, Warlocks, Wizards and many more. This game helped change the PC gaming for the best.

  • Playstation

    In 1995, Sony released a new console called PlayStation 1, this soon became the best selling console and was very popular among gaming.

  • Halo and Xbox

    In 2000, a game released called Halo on PC, it wasn't a success due to poor consistency and game play, but Microsoft soon released a console called the Xbox, and Bungie makers of Halo, teamed up to make the Xbox and one of the greatest FPS of all time.

  • The FPS genre

    Through out the years, consoles started to release first person shooters due to the success of Halo, Bungie had a hold on it releasing Halo 2 on the Xbox and having a great story yet again, had great graphics and everything everyone wanted.

  • Sony and Xbox

    In 2005, Microsoft and Sony released new consoles, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. These new consoles were the next generation of graphics for new games yet to come.

  • Mincraft

    3 years later, a new popular game came out on PC and Xbox from Mojang. This new game is a pixel graphic game, where you can mine, build, survive from monsters. Minecraft was an instant success to the unique way of how it is made.

  • Skyrim and Battlefield

    A year later two games were released by EA and Bethesda, Skyrim and Battlefield 3, for Battlefield, the new Frostbite engine and the new big battle maps with tanks, jets, boats. Then a mid evil type of game with Dragons, and you the Dragonborn. This game introduced free roaming big map with knights, and creative other armor and weapons.

  • Free to play

    The new introduced free to play games on both home consoles and the new steam app, was the ability to give players free games that can be well made. Like spin offs and even well produced games.

  • The Xbox One and PS4

    In 2014, the new console Xbox one and PS4 was released. These new consoles brought the best to the table, with the best graphics you'll ever see, 1080p resolution, and with great games like COD and Halo.

  • NBA2K and Madden

    In both 2015 and 2016, these new sports games were released. Introducing playing your favorite football or basketball team, creating a character to have a career that involves VC(virtual currency)that can be used for upgrading your attributes to make yourself a legend, and a feature of Park, a multiplayer "Park" where there are at least 8 courts, and you play other players created players.

  • Call of duty

    In 2007, a new breed of first person shooter came out to both Xbox and PlayStation, Call Of Duty, a game where you are taking place in a war environment. Since the release of Xbox live and PlayStation Network, multiplayer was a major success to the franchise for war environments with people going against each other.
