  • Pinball

    The Pinball machine was made in the early 1930's as an improvement to a previous game known as Bagatelle. they were originally just tabletop machines, before they eventually evolved into the standalone machine we know today
  • First Games

    In the early 1950's, some of the earliest known video games were made, such as the "Bertie the Brain" computer, a computer that you could play a replica of tic tac toe against an artificial intelligence on.
  • Computer Space

    Released in 1971, Computer Space was the very first arcade game, and based on an earlier computer game from 1962, "Spacewar!". this was also the first commercially available video game.
  • Magnavox

    The Magnavox Odyssey was the first home-console ever, released in 1972 by Magnavox and could run some very primitive games, including a table tennis like game.
  • Atari

    After seeing the Magnavox Odyssey, Nolan Bushnell thought he could make something better, and teamed up with Allan Alcorn to create their own Pong console and released it in 1975
  • PlayStation

    The first PlayStation is released in 1994, and is the first of the more modern Consoles.
  • YouTube

    In the late 2000's and the early 2010's gaming videos were starting to be made and produced on platforms such as YouTube, which allowed Games to gain more popularity and traction through being played by Youtubers.
  • Now

    Now with all of the resources available to them, more Indie Developers are able to make and share their games, which provide a nice alternative to the AAA games that we have seen in the past, and some great games such as Hollow Knight and Celeste have found massive popularity despite being developed by a very small team.
