Fugitive Slave Act
The Fugitive Slave Act were the laws that forced runaway slaves to return home in America. Many people disagreed with these laws and many slaves did not return to their owner. Eventually, theses laws were repealed by Congress due to the criticism and low effectancy.

Uncle Tom's Cabin Published
Uncle Tom's Cabin was a novel written by Harriet Stowe releating to anti-slavery. Stowe met fugitive slaves in the Underground Railroad and decided to impact the way the people viewed slavery.

Kansas-Nebraska Act
The Kansas-Nebraska Act was a bill made in 1854 that let settlers choose whether or not slavery would be allowed inside of the state border. The bill caused many conflicts and violence increased. Even thought Congress aproved of the bill, other people didn't.
