Romans learned from the Greeks that a sanitation system was very important. They brought clean water in to their city by waterways, built sewers to carry off waste, and built public baths with filtering systems.
Romans sent medical equipment and physicians with eir armies to care for hurt soldiers. This was the beginning of hospitals, public buildings for the sick to be healed were built. -
