First & Second estate get angry
The 1st & 2nd estate got mad because they were made to pay taxes. They had to pay taxes because King Louis 16 was taken over. It was made so that all three estates had to pay taxes. -
Causes
Some causes were because of social causes, the third estate paid the only taxes. Prices for food were high. The church needed to be separated. -

The king and queen were taken to "house arrest"
The king and queen were taken from their palace and put on house arrest. They were taken so they have less power. King Louis 16 was forced to sign every law that was proposed to him or else he would be killed. NOTES -

When a large mob was in search of gunpowder. The citizens won the battle. The soldiers guarding the Bastille were captured and dragged through the streets. -

Bread March
A large groupe of women went to versailles.They were all in search for bread for thier starving families. They threatened King Louis 16 to give them wheat or else they would kill him. -
Royal Escape
When the king and queen escaped from thier "house arrest". They got caught when they were told to show thier passport and found that they were the king and queen. They escaped because they didn't want to lose thier absolute monarch rule. NOTES -

A fat man who loved to eat and play with boats. Always agreed with the last person to speak. Was a very bad leader. NOTES -

King Louis 16's wife. had no political power. Was very young. -
Death of King Louis 16
The National Convention said that King Louis 16 was to be killed. He tryed to talk to the people and said he hoped that his death was for the people's happiness, but he was drownded out by the drum roll. When he was killed all the people celebrated. -
Reign of Terror
The reign of terror was period in the French Revolution in which many people were killed. King Louis XVI was exicuted at this time. It was mainly led by Maximillian Robenspierre. -
The Queen Gets Killed
was killed after being kept in prison. She thought she would be carrried to the guillitine in a covered carriage, but instead was an open prisoner cage on a wagon. Was convicted of treason. -
Napoleon becomes dictator of France
When Napolian took over, France was under millitary rule for 15 years. Napolian's army went through Italy and reached as far as Egypt before he was defeated. He took over France in 1799.
