    Louis XVI summoned the Estates-General which was a general assembly representing the French estate. The reason this assembly was called is to propose solutions to France's financial problems. This was important to the French Revolution because it marked the staring point for the revolution

    Tennis Court Oath
    The event started when the third estate gathered to meet on June 20th. That's when they found the meeting doors were locked and guarded.
    This further developed the French revolution because that was the first time someone had stood in opposition to the kind. This resulted in Louis XVI having power taken from him.

    This event was when hundreds of Parisians stromed the Bastille. This resulted in gun powder getting stolen and many prisoners being freed. This was importaint because the capture of the Bastille symbolized the end of the ancien regime. It also provided the French revolutionary cause with an irresistible momentum.

    Writing of the Declaration of Rights of Man

    The declaration called for the destruction of aristocratic privileges by proclaiming an end to feudalism, exemptions from taxation, freedom, and equal rights for all "Men". It also allowed all citizens the right to participate in the legislative process. This was important to the French revolution bcause it granted civil rights to some common people. However, it did exclude a big part of the French Population.

    March on Versailles
    The March on Versailles was caused by the high price of bread. Because of this women from the marketplace of Paris led the March on Verailles. This was a very important for the revolution. This event caused the royals to be forced back to Paris

    This event created a new structure for the Government of France. It spacifically limited power the monarchy of French had, delegated legislative powers to an elected national Assembly, and created an elected judiciary. It was important to the French revolution because it gave a new structure for the French government. It was mostly important because it limited the Monarchys power.

    The Reign of Terror was a period when there was a a series of massacres and numerous public executions that took place in response to revolutionary accusations of treason and other event by the Committee of Public Safety. However it was also the creation of the First Republic. This is important to the revolution because it instituted the conscripted army. This saved France from invasion by other countries and in that sense preserved the Revolution.

    Execution of the King and Queen
    During this event the King Louis XVl was executed by the order of the National Convention in January of 1793. Following this in August the queen was put in solitary confinement in the Conciergerie; until she was brought before the Revolutionary tribunal on October 14, 1793, and was guillotined two days after. This was important to the revolution because it marked a point of no return for the French revolutionaries. The death of Louis XVI ended a millennium of uninterrupted French monarchy.

    This event is when Napoleon overthrew the system of government under the Directory in France. Napoleon also substituted the Consulate. This is important to the revolution because the overthrowing of the French govenment system made way for the despotism of Napoleon Bonaparte. This is event further helps end the French revolution

    This event was showed Napoleons success during the French Revolutionary Wars by defending France and effectively defeating the Coalition. This led to Napoleon becoming the First Consul in France and led the French Empire into a new, and powerful, era. This was important to the revolution because Napoleon was able to defeat France's enemies during the revolution. This establish control over France to put an end to the Revolution.

    This even shows how Louis XVIII's reign saw France's first experiment in parliamentary government since the Revolution. It also shos how the King was invested with executive powers and had “legislative initiative". This was important because Louis XVlll was the last king before the revolution.

    The invasion of Russia halted Napoleon's march across Europe. This also resulted in his first exile to the Mediterranean island of Elba. This was important to the revolution because Napoleon hoped to cease trading with British merchants in an effort to pressure the United Kingdom to sue for peace. The aim of the campaign was to liberate Poland from the threat of Russia.

    This event shows how allies drove Napoleon out of Germany in 1813 and invaded France in 1814. As a result of this the allies defeated the remaining French armies, occupied Paris, and forced Napoleon to abdicate and go into exile.     The Congress of Vienna Meetes
    During this event France was dispossessed of all the territories that Napoleon conquered. As a result Russia was given most of Poland ,Half of Saxony, parts of Poland, and other German territories were given to Prussia. This is important because the objective of the Congress was to provide a long-term peace plan for Europe by settling critical issues arising from the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars through negotiation.

    Napoleon is Defeated at Waterloo
    During this event allies suffered 22,000 casualties. Napoleon was defeated when he was forced to retreat when the Allies entered Paris on 7 July. This was important to the revolution because the British, Wellington's position it negated an early offensive bombardment by Napoleon. This led to the afternoon arrival of Blucher's Prussian army turned the tide against the French.
