New Constitution was ratified
The French national assembly created the new constitution. It said that active citizens who paid taxes and were men had the right to vote for local officials. It lased not even a year -
Fist cut of the guillotine
Samson started the testing with animals, once he could cleanly cut off the heads of live animals he went on to test the copses of living women and children.After he perfected it it was time for the real deal. Parisians gathered outside in the plaza, to see Nicolas-Jacques Pelletier, get executed. -
Parisians attack Tunisians palace, and ended Luis XVI's power.
The national; guard and Parisian soldiers marched in on the royal families palace. The royal family was already safe somewhere else but the guards were overpowered. The king and his family were ok but were no longer in power. -
King Louis XVI was executed
He was sentenced to death one day after being found guilt of conspiracy of foreign powers. The French national convention sentenced him to death. He was executed by guillotine in the Place de la Revolution in Paris. -
Comittee of Public Safetey.
This was created to provide for the defense of the nation against its enemies.It was also created to oversee the the bad in the government.The 12 members were elected by the national convention. -
Another new Constitution was proclaimed
This made it so all males could vote, and that there was free public education. It was created by the Jacobin's and was put into effect almost immediately with no opposition. This made it so the Jacobin's had absolute power. -
Marie Antoinette executed
She had to spend two and a half months living in squalor before her trial. She was found guilty for treason. She was sentenced to death by guillotine.
