    The Tennis Court Oath was when 576 people of the third estate rebelled against how the government was. These people vowed to not exit the Tennis court until the government changed its constitution. This act of the people started many rebellious acts too.

    The Bastille was a old prison that one day got attacked by a angry mob. The mob took over the prison which held only 7 prisoners. The governor was killed during this attack and they beheaded him.

    The abolition of Feudalism was when the government changed the privileges of the nobles and clergy. The changes were to basic privileges like hunting and other activities. Peasants got their land free and didn't pay tithe to the church anymore.

    The Declaration Of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen was a basic list of rights of a citizen. There was a list of 17 articles made each stating rights of a man and citizens. The first article was that men are born and remain free and equal in rights.

    Many families ate bread and relieved on it to feed their families. One day the markets raised the price of bread a ton and this made everyone very mad. They marched to demand the prices of bread to go down. The crowd took over a hotel where they were able to get bread and weapons. They then eventually ended up breaking into a palace and killed national guards but was eventually calmed down by Lafayette.

    The french royal family tried to escape their roles and ended up getting the title of non supporters. King Louis finally decided he was going to try to escape on June 20 1791. Louis left behind a declaration complaining about how he was treated. The following day they were found and captured and returned to Paris.

    Louis's cousin was spreading rumors about Louis's wife which frustrated many people. Louis got arrested on August 13. Louis was put on trial and was found guilty. He was executed but before he was he said that his death was for the happiness of the people.

    The Reign of Terror was when radicals took over the government and things went down hill. They arrested and executed anyone they suspected that was unloyal. Throughout the next year everyone was terrified and had to watch what they were saying or else they would be killed.

    The Coup of 18th Brumaire was when general Napoleon Bonaparte overthrew the government. The government that he overthrew was the directory government. He wanted to overtake this government to replace it by the consult.
