    This was a gathering of all of the estates of France.

    This was a gathering of the third estate against the king and queen.
  • The Tennis Court Oath

    The Tennis Court Oath
    The National Assembly met in a tennis court after being forced to move their meeting place and made an oath to gather until the king was not in power. This oath was called the tennis court oath.
  • The Storming of the Bastille

    The Storming of the Bastille
    After hearing news of the king hoarding weapons in a prison, people of the National Assembly stormed the prison and stole the weapons. This was the first event of the French Revoloution.

    It was a document stating that France was freed from their king.
  • The Women's March on Versalies

    The Women's March on Versalies
    Upon hering news of the queen storing grain in her castle, women who were supporters of the national assembly stormed the castle and stole the grain for their families.

    Outside of the Champ de Mars, many revoloutionaries were killed by royal guards, which angered the revoloutionaries even more.

    The king was executed by the Revoloutionaries, starting the reign of terror.

    The Comittee of Public Safety
    This committee was created as a government to replace the dead king, was lead by Robespierre, and was what was called a "de facto government."
  • The End of the Reign of Terror

    The End of the Reign of Terror
    After years of blood caused by the Reign of Terror, Robespierre was killed, and the Reign of Terror was ended.
