The Revolutionary Tribunal sent prisoners including Girondists (Revolutionaries who oversaw the revolution but were stopped by Jacobins (Another group of revolutionaries)) to death by guillotine. The Jacobins had been attacked and responded through oppressing everyone who posed a threat. -
