The calling of the Estates General was one of the first meetings since 1614. There were 3 Estates the 1st Estate was the Clergy, the 2nd Estate was the nobles, and the 3rd Estate was the common people. -
The Tennis Court Oath
When Louis XVI locked the 3rd estate out of their normal meeting place, the 3rd estate gathered inside the indoor tennis court at Versailles. They then vowed to not quit til they established a new constitution for France. -

The National Assembly existed during the French Revolution. The National Assembly consisted of the representatives of the 3rd Estate General. -
Attack on the Bastille
People were very angry at Louis XVI and Merie Antoinette, so people in the armies and the people of Paris seized the Bastille and abolished the monarchy. -

The Great Fear occured at the beginning of the French Revolution. It was basically a general panic. -
French Women Force Louis XVI to leave Versailles
This was known as the Women's March. The Women's March was nearly a 7,000 working women who were very angry. They marched to Versailles with pitchforks, pikes, and muskets. -

France demanded that Austria renounce any hostile alliances and withdraw its troops from the French border. The reply was evasive and the Assembly in France declared war. -

On January 21 1793 King Louis XVI was convicted and found guilty of conspiracy with foriegn powers. His head was then chopped off by Guillotine. -

During this period many people were executed by the ruling faction. -
The Thermidorian Reaction
The Thermidorian Reaction was a revolt during the French Revolution against the leadership of the Jacobin Club. As a result Robepierre and 80 of his followers were killed. -

The Directory was France's government during the French Revolution. The Directory only lasted 4 years. -

Napoleon was a french military and political leader who rose to power in the later stages of the French Revolution. He became Emperor of the French in 1804. -

The Invasion of Russia by the French which is known in Russia as the Patriotic War of 1812. Napoleon won the war with little work since the Russians pulled back. -
Napoleons Defeat at Waterloo
Napoleon's forces were defeated in Waterloo by British and the Prussians, This later resulted in the end of his reign where he later abdicated and later died in exile.
