The Estates General were summoned by King Louis XVI in May 1789 to solve France's financial crisis. They pledged the Tennis Court Oath vowing to keep meeting until a new constitution has been written. -

As the new constitution came into effect, France was proclaimed a costitutinal monarchy. The National Assembly was gone as the Legeslative Assembly accepted no National assembly people. -

The Reign of Terror was a period of violence in France after Louis XVI was killed and Jacobins was in power. -

Robespierre was sent to the guillotine ending the reign of terror.
