Oct 24, 1791 The royal family tried to run away in disguise but they were discovered at the border and brought back to France. Jan 21, 1793 King Louis XVI was executed by the guillotine. Oct 24, 1794 Robespierre, one of the leaders of France, was executed by the guillotine. He had also executed many other people before his own execution.
