    The Constituentt Assembly
    A new Constituent Assembly was elected to write a constitution. At that time protesters a began a riot and they attacked the Bastille.
  • Womens March

    Womens March
    A group of `Parisian women organised a march beacuse of tjhe high prices of bread. Thousands of people joined them and they attacked the palace of the king in Versailles and presented their demands. The next day teh king and his court returned to Paris.
  • New constitution: Declaration of the Rigths of Man and the Citizen

    In reaction to the riots te Constituent Assembly implemented legal reforms, like the Declaration of the Man and the Citizen that stated that all men are born free and equal in their rights.
  • Declaration of France as a republic

    Louis XVI opposed the reforms of the Legislative Assembly and asked Austria for support. The assembly abolished the monarchy and declared France a republic.

    After the election of a new assembly, Louis XVI was acused of treason and then he was executed.

    Spain signed this traty that give the Frem troops the permission to pass trought Spain to attack Portugal.

    Joseph Bonaparte, new king of Spain
    The French forces occupied Spain and sent Carlos IV and his son Fernando to Bayone.
    Fernando renouced their rights to the Spanish throne in favour of Napoleon and Napoleon made his brother Joseph Bonaparte the new King of Spain.
