    Reign of terror

    The reign of terror was the most violent in the peak of the revolution, after a few years of the revolution the people of france were in a desperate time. The government was overthrown in 1792, the king was imprisoned. The desperate measures the french had undertaken resulted in the execution of the king along with thousands of others.
  • Execution of Robespierre

    Maximilien Robespierre, the architect of the French Reign of terror was overthrown and the National Convection arrested them. Robespierre, a leading member in the Committee of Public Safety in 1793 He encouraged the execution which lead into usually guillotine with more than 17,000 enemies of the revolution. After Robespierre’s arrest he and 21 of his followers were executed before the mob in the Place de la Revolution of Paris.
