King Louis XVI is executed by guillotine after being convicted of plan with overseas powers and sentenced to death by the French National Convention.Nine months later Marie Antoinette was convicted of betrayal.On October 16 she followed her husband to the guillotine. -

Civil war breaks out in the Vendee area of France between rebels and royalists.Followed by two months of confused fighting.By autumn the government forces had been boosted and placed under merge command. -

The Law of Suspects is made and if anyone is feel of enemy the revolutionary government is going to be arrested.The following year the order was expanded and became more strict.This order lasted until July 1794. -

Famous chemist Antoine Lavoisier, called the "father of modern chemistry" and he was executed for being a traitor.The reason why he was called the father of chemistry he said that sulfur was a element not a compound and he also named Oxygen and Hydrogen.He was accused of selling tainted tobacco among other crimes. -
Terror
The rule of terror comes to an end as Robespierre is defeated.The day after his arrest him and 21 of his members were guillotined.They were executed in front of a cheering mob. -
