The Estate General
The Estate General was united so that the could talk about the plans for the future of France. Before the start of the meeting Louis XV1 locked out all of the third estate out of the meeting. -
Tennis Court Oath
After the Estates General the Third Estate out of anger for the King broke into the nearby 'tennis court' to make the Tennis Court Oath. The Oath was to change the government, polices, power of the people, also liberty, and freedom. -
The Bastille
The Bastile was a prison for the worst people of France also an weapon hold place. After the Tennis Court Oath they started calling the government the National Assembly. They wanted to protect this government and to protect it they needed weapons. For their luck there was such a place called The Bastile. -
The Declaration of The Rights of Man and The Citizen
The revolutionaries and the new government forced the King to sign the Declaration of the Rights of Man and The Citizen. This was a document created to make all men equal and because he signed this the National Assembly was made into a true government. -
The Guillotine
During the enlightenment a French doctor had invented the machine called the 'Guillotine'. This machine had killed people in a non-painful and without the human influence. -
The March on Versaille
A large group of at first women fish loaders march from Paris to Versaille. Once they got their they wanted wheat to make bread and the King waited to long and the broke in and they wanted the head of the Queen, but they could not find her. -
The War On Austria and Prussia
During the revolution the revolutionaries worried that the Austrian and Prussian Kings will not allow them to change the French government to a Republic. So their soulution to the problem is that they must attack them before they attack France. -
Robespierre
Under Robespierre control he created some rules and some of them were: the removal of the Church, removing the street names, created the Assocation of Public Safety. -
Marat
Marat was a newspaper writer and he wrote about people that were traitors to France and their revolution. They would have a trile and then they would be killed. -
Executions
During the revolution many people were executed by the revolutionaries and some of thous people are: Traitors, Madam Du- Barry, The Queen, and even Louis XVI. -
The War
Even thought the people of France are fighting a revolution they still have a war with Austria. The leader of the revolution got about 800,000 people to fight for France. -
The Fall of Marat
One day during the revolution Marat was writing and an avarage women with a list of traitors stabed Marat in the bath. She did this because she thought it would lead to peace in France. -
The Death of Geroge Danton
George Danton was Robeispierres friend and he thought that the revolution was going on to long and that they should stop killing. Because of this Robesipierre executed him for being a traitor. -
The fall of Robespierre
After Robespierre had George Danton killed he got arrested. In a prison cell he got a gun and shot himself but he missed and shot his mouth. He got executed shortly after this. -
The Directory
After the fall of Robespierre the revolution was over the people of France needed a government and also they had to still deal with the war against Austria. -
The coronation of Emperor Napoleon
He wanted his coronation to be the biggest thing in Europe so he paid to Pope to come to France. He used his name and the Pope to take control of Italy and more. -
Passing of the Civil Code
The Civil Code was used by Napoleon so that he could get money and make sure that people with land have their plus and minus. -
100 Days
Napoleon return from exile to try and take back paris. The last battle was called Waterloo because thats when Napoleon was defeaded and then the sent him to St. Helena even farther away from Europe so he will not return. -
Exile to Elba
After Napoleon was defeated they had pitty on him so they exiled him to Elba. When he was there he had plans to return to France and take control but that will be for a while. -
Congress of Vienna
The congress of Vienna was created by the generals who defeated Napolean and it was over the recreation of Europe and to make all the countries balanced.
