  • The Calling of the General Estates

    Louis XVI decided to call together the Estates General to icreas the taxes
  • The Constitude Assembly

    The king agreed the Estate's demands, a new constituent assembly was elected and the protesters attacked the Bastille
  • Declaration of the Rigths of Man an the Citizen

    In reaction to these protests, the Constituen Assembly declarated that all men are born free and equal in their rights.
  • The Legislative Assembly

    The new Legislative Assembly was divided into the Griondins and the Jacobins, Louis XVI opposed the reform of these Assambly, so they abolished the monarchy and declared the France Republic
  • The Convention

    After this new assembly, Louis XVI was executed for treason, A month later, some European countries joined and declared war to France. Then, Robespierre imposed a dictatorship on the country.

    France's moderate middle class had gained control of the country. This was a more conservative goberment
