English Bill of Rights Drafted
It was a restatement inviting them to become joined sovereigns of England. It limits the powers of the crown and tells the rights of Parliament and rules for freedom of speech, the requirement for regular elections and the right to petition the monarch without fear. -
Seven Years War
It involved most of the great powers of the time and affected Europe North America Central America the West African coast India and the Philippines. -

Louis XVI was King of France from 1774 until 1791, after which he was subsequently King of the French from 1791 to 1792, before his execution during the French Revolution -
Estates General
They decided whether they should vote by estate, giving the first two estates an advantage or vote all together, giving the Third Estate the advantage. It ended when the Third Estate formed into the National Assembly. -
Tennis Court Oath
3rd estate vowed to wrtite a consitution for France. Louis gave in and allowed each representative one vote. -
Storming the Bastille
Louis began ordering troops to Paris and Versailles to preserve the monarchy. Mob of Paris citizenz citizens went to Bastille looking for weapons. -
Declaration of Rights of Man
The rights of man are held to be universal at all times and in every place to human nature itself. It became the basis for a nation of free individuals protected equally by law. -
March of Versaille
one of the earliest and was a big event of the French Revolution. The march began when women in the marketplaces of Paris were rioting over the high price and ration of bread. -
Flight to Varennes
King Louis XVI and his wife Marie Antoinette attempted to escape from Paris in order to try a counter revolution. Their escape only led them to the small town of Varennes where they were arrested. -
Attack on the Tuileries Palace
Following the March on Versailles the crowd demanded that the king and the National Assembly accompany them back to Paris. Where they attacked the Tuileres Palace. -

Continental Blockade
The foreign policy of Napoleon of France in his struggle against Great Britain during the Napoleonic Wars. They forbade the import of British goods into Europe allied with or dependent upon France. -
Lousiana Purchase
France controlled this vast area from 1699 until 1762, the year it belonged to Spain. Under Napoleon Bonaparte, France took back the territory in 1800 in the hope of re-establishing an empire in North America. -
Napoleon Crowned King of Italy
He made peace with the pope, much to the relief of the religion. He launched a new aristocracy for France while allowing the return of most of the aristocrats who had been forced out by the Revolution. -

U.S. Declares War
The United States declared war on Britain. The British continuously engaged and forced US citizens to serve in the Royal Navy. -
War of Waterloo
French army under the command of Napoleon was defeated by the armies of the Seventh Coalition. Upon Napoleon's return to power in 1815, many states that had opposed him formed the Seventh Coalition and began to mobilize armies. -
Exiled to St. Helena
Napoleon was again exiled to the island of Saint Helena this time which was off the coast of Africa. Six years later he died, by malaria and in 1840 his body was returned to Paris.
