The French Constitution of 1793
The French Constitution of 1793 was the first republican constitution of France. It was radified by referendum. It was never put into place because the government and the people would be "revolutionary until the peace". -
Committee of Public Safety
In July Robespierre became the leader of the Committee of Public Safety. -

Nine months after her husban's death she herself got convicted and was sentenced to the guillotine. -
Maximillien Robespierre
Maximillien Robespierre was he was a very influential speaker to the Jacobins and played a big part in the French Revolution. He stated that "Terror is nothing else than justice, prompt, severe, inflexible". -
The fall of Robespierre
Robespierre was overthrown by some of the people in the National Assembly. They demanded that he was to be charged guilty and was sent to the guillitine. He and 21 of his followers got beheaded. -
The Reign of Terror is over
During the reign of terror nearly 300,000 people were aressted because they were suspceted of being enemies of the Revolution. 17,000 people were executed by the guillotine during the reighn of terror including the King and Queen of France.
