Tennis Court Oath
After the deputies of the Third Estate found themselves locked out of their usual meeting hall at Versailles, they meet at a nearby tennis court and signed the famous Tennis Court Oath. The Tennis Court Oath was the first step in the Third Estate of France forming an organized protest of the French government in the lead-up to the French Revolution.
